Synthesis and Characterization of La0.6Sr0.4NiO3 Nanocrystals via a Simple Co-precipitation Method in the Present of Surfactant
Authors
Abstract:
The perovskite-type oxides strontium-substituted lanthanum nickelate (LSNO) were prepared by a coprecipitation method in the present of octanoic acid as surfactant. The phase composition, morphology, lattice parameters and size of nanoparticles in these materials were characterized through Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) on the resultant powders at room temperature. This method produced oxides withnanoparticles following the orthorhombically distorted crystal structure. The LSNO were synthesized in homogeneous nanosize particles of about 53 nm.

A facile co-precipitation method for the synthesis of well-dispersed NdFeO3 nanocrystals is developed in the presence of octanoic acid as surfactant. Co-precipitation can produce fine, high-purity, stoichiometric particles of single and multicomponent metal oxides. The product is characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microsc...

full textSynthesis and Characterization of α-Fe2O3 Nanoparticles by Simple Co-Precipitation Method
In the past decade, magnetic nanomaterials have attracted much attention due to their physical properties and technological applications. In this work, α-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were first synthesized via a simple co-precipitation method using iron chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3.6H2O) as precursor and ammonia solution as precipitator. The samples we...
